I also think that Japanese culture is much better than the United States, Japan is right behind us in the music market and has the biggest music market in Asia. They make most of the game music in videogames, and also design a lot of the games themselves. The people of Japan uses a brush for writing as well as painting. Painting has been part of Japan for centuries and is still a big influence on Japan today. Having a garden is important in Japanese historical and religious backgrounds. These gardens allow you to meditate, and have a place for recreation. People will put in tea houses in their gardens as well. The Japanese make manga books and take up a large sector in the anime market as well.
In Japan’s culture social hierarchy is very important. Americans tend to be more direct in their conversations and the Japanese tend to be more subtle because in Japan being direct and holding eye contact in a conversation can be seen as an insult. Space in Japan is limited and with a large urban population, they make their house and apartments much smaller than they do in America to conserve space. You don’t have to tip waiters in Japan because tipping waiters in Japan can be seen as insult in some places. There is also less social stigma about living with your parents until you get married.
Your average Japanese diet is a lot different than your typical american one. Japanese staple includes: Fish, rice, soy, vegetables, fruit, and green tea, while American staple is: red meat, poultry, and processed foods in general. 28% percent of Americans are obese compared to Japanese 3% you can see cleary who has the healthiest food. Portion sizes are also much smaller than they are in the U.S. Most people in Japan will home-cooked their own meals, and Americans typically will just buy what they eat at the store. In my personal opinion I like to eat traditional Japanese food over what you can find at the store.
So overall Japan has great food, great culture, and low crime rate which all contributes to why Japan is so much better than the United States of America. The End.
